NATIONAL ACADEMIC ACTIVITY AT NICVD |
The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) organized a unique multi-disciplinary academic program for the post graduate students and fellow medical professionals on 16th, 18th and 19th December, 2009 in which Efroze Marketing Department provided technical support and audio- visual assistance.
Efroze being a Heart Care Company has always shown active involvement in the field of cardiology and encourages such sessions in order to facilitate training and education in this area at the post graduate level. The program comprised of a series of scientific sessions in which the attendant doctors and students were shown live surgical procedures from USA through the NICVD Cath Labs highlighting the various complications faced during cardiac surgeries such as angioplasty and by- pass procedures.
Since 1963, NICVD, the first Cardiology Institute in this entire world region has been associated with the diagnosis, management and prevention of cardiovascular diseases nation wide and also to update the industrial and technological advances in this area. NICVD is recognized as a Postgraduate Teaching institution by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC), the college of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) and the Karachi University (KU).
