Seminar on Child Health on 13th December 2009 at Hotel Sheraton, Karachi |
Pakistan Paediatric Association (Sindh Branch & Karachi Chapter) organized a thought provoking Seminar on Child Health addressing the problems of child health care in Pakistan which was attended by pediatricians and physicians from various hospitals from all over Pakistan.
Prof. Iqbal Memon (DUHS), Prof. A.G. Billoo (AKU), Prof. Syed Jamal Raza (NICH) and Prof. Khursheed Abbasi (President PPA) along with many other renowned doctors spoke on the topic. Dr. Qutubuddin Kakar (WHO) delivered a lecture on “WHO Guidelines on Management of Malaria” focusing on the prevalence of malaria in the Pakistani children population and highlighted the use of WHO approved Artemisinin- based anti- malarial formulations as an effective solution to this major threat to child health.
Efroze Chemical Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. set up a stall at the seminar utilizing this golden opportunity to promote its WHO approved anti- malarial formulation, ARTEDOXIN and ARTEDOXIN-P, containing Artesunate+ Sulphadoxine- Pyrimethamine. The Efroze Marketing, Sales and New Product Development team participated in the event and discussed the prevalence of malaria, its prevention and treatment with the doctors.
